Any day now...
The VS SDK v3 final RTM release is imminent. We are currently going through final phases of testing and will be releasing it any day now. This is really quite exciting because it is my first RTM release with the team.
Since my last post, we have had several great events in the VS Ecosystem space. We had the annual VSIP Summit from 8/29 to 8/31 where our partners come onto campus and our senior leadership team talks about our technology roadmap as well as marketing opportunities for VSIP. We even had our Soma come do a Q&A for our partners.
And then earlier in August (8/7 - 8/10), we also had the quarterly Developer Lab where partners came to campus to attend sessions as well as get lab times. We had offices set up for each of the partners so they can actually write code and develop their package in the afternoons. When they run into trouble, they have direct access to our engineering team to help debug their problems - all part of the VSIP Alliance/Premier membership benefits :)
Another exciting event also occurred last Friday: the VS SDK documentation is now online at MSDN! Huge kudos to our UE team. You should bookmark this link now if you are a VSIP developer! We are also looking into putting the actual SDK out on Download Center in the near future - stay tuned!
I will update this blog once we ship v3 RTM.
