My first blog post

I’m finally jumping on the bandwagon.  I’ve created a blog and I’m posting my first entry, so here goes…

 

My name is James Conard.  I’m a Technology Specialist (TS) with Microsoft’s Communications Sector (https://www.microsoft.com/serviceproviders), which is a group that focuses on telecommunication (wireline & wireless), cable, and network equipment providers.  I’m responsible for advancing Microsoft technologies within my account (a major telecom that will remain nameless for now :).  I primarily focus on development technologies:  .NET, Web Services, BizTalk, and Sharepoint.  I give a lot or presentations (probably too many), create a lot of samples, and promote developer activities through web casts and user groups in my account. 

 

So what can you expect from my blog?  I would like to share my personal thoughts and experiences working with Microsoft technologies.  Lately I’ve been spending my time with Sharepoint (primarily WSS), web parts, and InfoPath.  I’m also a technology geek at heart, so you can expect to hear random thoughts about Media Center, PocketPC, etc.  It should be interesting, but I can't make any promises. :)
