Vista UAC helps to stop rootkits
An interesting article in TechWorld last week about how UAC - which is the Marmite of Vista features (you either love it or you hate it) - is very effective for stopping rootkits (bad bad things) from installing on your PC. It even beats some of the other products out there on the market that are supposed to protect you against them.
Moral of the story is UAC: it keeps you safe, keep it turned on!
