UAC "Split Token" workaround

Older apps weren't designed with UAC in mind and there can be some compatibility problems during the installation and use of software.  When developing applications now and in the future, there are some UAC guidelines available but in the meantime you might find this workaround useful if you come across problems with UAC.  Hat tip to Dave who came up with this workaround.
