Open XML gets an SDK
Yesterday Microsoft announced a SDK (Software Development Kit) for SDK which allows developers to create code which works well with the Open XML thanks to the libraries, samples and documentation provided by the SDK. You can download the SDK here.
Channel 9 got a scoop on Open XML with Chris Bryant, Senior Product Manager on the Office Platform team and it's worth listening to him about:
- What Open XML is
- Why Microsoft help create it
- What you can do with the SDK
- Why the SDK is useful
While you're at it, check out the XML in Office Developer portal that has loads of great resources on how to develop on Office with XML.
UPDATE
Mike Ormand has some great Open XML resources for developers over on his blog here.
