Is Microsoft getting it's own "Easy Button?"

Looks like we hired Todd Peters, the exec from Staples that handled the whole easy button thing. Which is a little funny because I told one of our vendors yesterday that I was looking for the easy button to help with getting his vendor application through procurement. Hmmm, I can haz easy button?

I would buy a Microsoft Easy Button, no doubt. It would probably have to be a "Start" button... wouldn't that be a good gag to leave on Todd's desk on his first day at work?

OK, a senior director from procurement just e-mailed me to see if he can assist with the challenges we are having (which was really nice of him). So I thought I should clarify that this time through, it's really just been a challenge of timing in terms of getting the vendor application through relative to the vendor's desire to be paid now. Somehow the "I want it now button" didn't have the same ring to it. :)

I'm sure Mr. Peters could get you a discount on 'em (ok, it was a thought).  Then take one of them, with your vendor's app and attach a nice note and give to your procurement department... A humorous way to get noticed and speed things up.  Who says internal marketing is dead?

Satish, I have seen creative buttons for the keyboard. I wonder how many times Todd has heard dumb jokes about the easy button though. Will - fortunately, the process is paperless (come on, we're microsoft) so nothing to attach it to. Unless there's a virtual easy button? Hmmm.

haha - you just made a lolcat funny.  :) I like the idea of a Start button, but I don't think it's funny enough for the masses. There's gotta be some other skeleton from the MS closet that we can capitalize on.
