I love Peonies. If you are such a pro - who do you pronounce this flower at your house?  There are two different ways. Is it Pea-a-nees or is it Pea-O-nees?

Had to wire these up this weekend. Should have done it before they started getting all top-heavy. They will be even more beautiful shortly.

I am not a pro, I swear. They come up every year and all I do is stake them and then cut them down at the end of the season. Anyhoo, I pronouce Pee-a-nees with the accent on the Pee. I've hear people use your other pronunciation with the accent on the O and that is just all wrong. It's like they are really trying to say "ponies".

Well I am a huge fan of the Peonies too HH. My Gramma called them PEAOHNEES, I pronounce like you do.  Mine are requesting more sun - of which you are fully aware has been taken away from our list of things to love about Seattle this spring and summer.

I do wish it was sunny but I have to admit that for some strange reason, the  weather is not upsetting me too much. I'm kind of enjoying doing indoor stuff these days. I'm sure we will get our sun. I am hoping for late summer rather than short summer! Then again, I am going to Vegas next week, so I'll get my dose!
