Earlier this month, The Australian Computer Society, the Australian Information Industry Association, and the Pearcey Foundation announced the national winners of Australia’s premier technology awards program, the 2011 iAwards.
Speaking at the NBN launch in Brunswick on 4 August, Prime Minister Julia Gillard said “It is fitting to also acknowledge that today the iAwards are being held, which recognise Australia’s best digital innovators. These creative firms and individuals understand what the NBN means: we deliver the hardware, they deliver the ideas.”
Microsoft’s Community Partner InfoXchange won both State and National 2011 iAwards for their CRM4nfp application in the ‘e-inclusions and e-Community Category’. The application is designed to help community organisations improve service delivery by managing contacts, memberships, volunteers, campaigns, donations, pledges and events more efficiently. InfoXchange won this award for work based on their partnership with Microsoft to provide cloud based solutions for a growing community sector.
Now in its 17th year, the iAwards have continued to expand alongside growing recognition of the role that technology will play in the future of Australia.
