Growth Summit 2010

Global Access Partners last week convened a Summit with key business and government leaders titled “The National Economic Review” to analyse Australia’s strengths, highlight opportunities for progress and develop a plan for growth and innovation.

The 2010 Summit, the first in the series was held in the Legislative Assembly, NSW Parliament House.

The main goal of this gathering was to develop a program for growth for the national economy with a particular focus on how to boost Australia’s global competitive advantage and promote economic growth, building on its economic strengths, governance standards, while drawing on its skills base.

The Summit, hosted a pre-Summit dinner with the guest speaker, Wayne Swan MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer.

Microsoft Australia, a proud supporter of the Summit was represented by its General Counsel, Jeff Bullwinkel. Jeff addressed the Summit on the panel session titled “The outlook for Australian trade in the 21st century”, and covered issues including cloud computing and technology.
