Charity staff spend day at Microsoft and celebrate $100 million milestone

Microsoft last week hosted its first “Connecting Communities” event to showcase the important role of technology for not for profits, charities and community organisations.

The event brought together a range of speakers who presented on topics important to not for profit organisations such as CRM, Cloud Computing, and Social Media strategy.  It was also chance for Microsoft to reiterate its commitment to the sector.

The day was attended by more than 100 participants from the not for profit and community sectors keen to find out about the latest direction in technology and to learn more about tools that can bring them greater efficiencies in service delivery.

Tracey Fellows, Managing Director of Microsoft Australia presented a certificate of appreciation to Community partner DonorTec to mark the $100 million mark in Microsoft Australia’s software donation program which began in 2007.
