50 Years of an Institution - LEGO still rocks

I hear from Michael that LEGO is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

I'm quite certain that LEGO and my natural desire to build, destroy, rebuild, morph, combine and synthesize formed a virtuous circle in my childhood that had a significant impact in setting me off down the path my interests and career have taken.

Hats off to a marvelous Dane - if LEGO isn't cool, I don't know what is.

"if LEGO isn't cool, I don't know what is." Oh yeah, oh so true... Without much introspection really, I do have the feeling that the mere LEGO's existence played a major role in arousing my curiosity, and improving my intellect to build things. Not to mention the pleasant side effect of having fun doing so. Building things that work first in the realm of ideas, and then in our real world, even with those "dumb" binary machines, is so... well, rewarding. Yep. :)
