Hello Sonia, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We have a large group of people working to make sure we can deliver automated solutions to you. I am not sure I completely understand the issue you are having with changing the options in the customize notification area. If you can provide more details we can look into creating a Fix it. Please provide the steps you are trying to complete so that we can attempt to reproduce your issue and determine a solution. Thanks, -brian

What a GREAT little tool! Thank You! I think I know what Sonia is talking about in regards to not being able to change the behavior of the icons in the taskbar notification area. I'm having the same problem. For some reason my taskbar is now the last thing to download on my desktop & it takes forever before I can use it. Don't know how to fix it. Since I used the "Fix It" button, my icons have come back. As for the rest of it, it still won't let me customize the behavior. Hope there's more "Fix It" buttons out there. Thanks again...

I am having issues of highlighting multiple items to delete, i.e, emails, or anything, and it will only highlight maybe 4 things before it goes back to one thing.  It will delete these things, but for me to hold down the Ctrl button and highlight certain items to either be moved or deleted, it will only do four before it stops and starts over again?

I too have lost the capability of changing the settings in the tasbar menu properties. They all say "hide when inactive" and will not allow me to change to "always show".  My arrow to open the system tray hasalso disappeared.

I was having problems with the Notification area on a freshly reinstalled Win-XP-sp2 updated to XP-SP3 I have since installed all the other updates and other software. Somewhere along the process I have lost the arrow button that exposes the hidden icons on the task bar. I have tried your little Fixit tool it did cleanup the previous icons but did not restore my Button. I noticed another Blog referring to this (March 2009 from Diane W) Could you Please help me solve, I haven't got the time to reinstall XP again

Man... am I glad that I found this "Fix It" button again! I don't know why I keep losing my icons in the system tray. I think it has something to do with my antivirus software & that "real time" stuff but it sure makes me have hella past items in the list. I've only ran it once so far but am going to run it again because I found that last time, I had to run it about 3 times before it actually took care of everything. Won't lose it again. It's definately in my Fave Folder now. In reading Jeff G's problem with the little arrows in the tray... I've found that it has to do with how many icons I have set to show or hide & once it exceeds that amount, then the little hide arrows come back. I recently lost mine & thought it kinda wierd that it was gone but I think that's the way it works.
