Oracle jumps on the Embedded bandwagon

Oracle has opened an Embedded Business Unit in Asia in an attempt to move beyond their traditional enterprise systems. They're plan is to integrate Oracle software with end-user device like mobile devices, home appliances and automobiles. This announcement comes on the heels of the Oracle purchase of Sleepycat Software, a developer of embedded DB systems.
