MVP Releases New DUA Admin Kit
One of our Embedded MVP's, Sean Liming, has released a new tool to help make working with Device Update Agent (DUA)easier for administrators of the machine- see this article.
As some may know DUA settings that are configured offline in Target Designer are written as registry keys. In order to change these settings after the runtime was deployed you would need to either do so manually in the registry (using Registry Editor- assuming that this utility was included in the runtime in the first place), or you would need to create a script (DUA or otherwise) to push down the changes to the device. Sean provides another option with this new GUI tool.
Another useful tool for working with DUA is the utility called DUAScriptGen that was created by Aaron Stebner and Mike Hall and can be used to generate DUA scripts (DUS files) easily to quickly create update packages from the .rtf files that ship with the Embedded updates on the ECE site.
