Fonts and FP2007
As most of my last few posts have been about the re-factoring work done in FP2007 you may all be aware that there may be large and small differences in your FP2007 runtimes- large differences may be that IE is no longer coming into the runtime and small differences may be because a particular component is no longer coming into the runtime by default through a dependency check. Of course, the overall aim of re-factoring work was to reduce footprint for the widest range of devices and runtimes possible.
Another aspect of this footprint reduction work was to remove any dependencies from components that they may no longer be needed. This would also result in fewer, unnecessary components being brought into the runtime during dependency check and thereby reduce footprint. Some of this work has also resulted in slight differences to runtimes in FP2007. For example, certain runtimes having slight changes to the way they display certain text. This is due to the fact that certain font files may no longer be coming into the runtime on dependency check, namely:
arial.ttf
verdana.ttf
webdings.ttf
wingding.ttf
These fonts were originally brought into an SP2 runtime when IE was included in the runtime and a dependency check was performed. If IE is no longer in your runtime these fonts will not be coming in either. You can either manually add each of the fonts to your configuration in Target Designer (Fonts: Fonts Arial etc. - under Software : System : International : Infrastructure), or you can add them through the settings of the English Language Support component - just check the boxes next to the appropriate fonts.

If you are using XPe Feature Pack 2007 (FP2007) you will know that we did a lot of re-factoring work
