DST Swat Team is in place

I pulled a lot of this information from an internal discussion group thread regarding preparedness for the upcoming Daylight Savings Time change. Microsoft has built a virtual community of employees linked to each other and to our customers by leveraging telephony, remote assistance, chat rooms and internet web casts that support all of our customer audiences and segments.

In addition, our physical on site situation room in Redmond, connected virtually to one in Charlotte, NC, will be staffed from March 8-12 and will provide support to our account teams and their customers. Our virtual team is in full operation, with all hands on deck, and we continue to connect with customers through:

The XPe componentized update for the DST change was made available in the February 2007 rollup of updates from WinSE and can be downloaded from the ECE portal; when logged in to the portal you can download directly from this link to ‘February 2007’ under the Windows XPe updates page.

If your devices included support for the update.exe installer through the DQI macro in your configuration, then you can also deploy the same XP-Pro DST update to the devices in the field. As always, test your updates before deploying to live devices in the field.

If you have problems or concerns you can leverage the XPe community in our MSDN Forum for XPe, or you can contact us via the ‘e-mail us’ link to the left of our blog.
