Fred, If you try from IE, it will ask you do sign-in with your live/hotmail id; on success, it will take you to the Download manager page. Here it will ask you to install "download manager". If you have trouble downloading the files in Firefox/Chrome, Please update to the latest Java-Version(java.com/.../installed.jsp) and try downloading again. If the Download Manager can not install the ActiveX control or the JavaTM applet in your browser, you may have system restrictions (as mentioned in the download page)....then your options would be (1) Download products using the Web Browser method (2) Contact your organization’s Administrator to download products using the Download Manager method. I tried sometime earlier and it just works for me... Hope this helps :)Anonymous

I also experienced problems with the akamai download manager. Using Safari circumvents required usage of the download manager.Anonymous

I just download FireFox so I could use the Java version of the Download Manager. It worked. I couldn't get the IE version to work for anything.
