My First Post…
Well this week was my first week in my new role at Microsoft Australia as the Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) Developer Evangelist.
I have to say it has been an amazing week. I am still receiving the loveliest welcome messages & everyone has been so lovely & helpful! I have a lot to learn and everyone is going out of their way to make sure I have everything I need and know where to find out things if they cant help me directly – all of which I really, really appreciate!!
So in my new role, I will be working to raise awareness of the Dynamics Product suite. I’m looking forward to working with our partners and the community to grow the support networks available for developers working with Dynamics. I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure they have access to the materials & resources they need to work with the Dynamics products – so keep an eye on this site as I will be listing useful links & resources here as I come across them.
For the last few years I have been running Cybner, an Australian Dynamics Partner that specialised in CRM & SQL. My background is actually as a developer, and one of the things I am also particularly passionate about is the support & encouragement of other Women Working IT, primarily in technical roles. As a result I am involved with the https://www.GeekGirlBogs.com site (If you are female, work in IT & have a blog – go the the site & sign up online!), the spin off GeekGirlBlogs Podcasting series and the Sydney Girl Geek Dinners.
I’m so excited to be joining Microsoft and really looking forward to diving into the new role. :-)
