Join the Imagin8 hackathon in Toronto
Three Red Cubes is organizing the first ever Imagin8 Hackathon in Toronto at the Ryerson University Digital Media Zone Feb 8-10, 2013.
Three Red Cubes team has built cool apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone. The team is made up of three talented developers: Kowsheek, Alexey and Anthony. Kowsheek is also a Microsoft Student Partner at Ryerson University. They are organizing a hackathon at the Digital Media Zone February 8th through 10th. This is a great opportunity to get coding and to learn more about how an app can become a business. Here’s more about the hackathon in Kowsheek’s own words:
Join us for a different kind of hackathon: we will code and build apps with the aim to publish them plus StartMeUp Ryerson will be on site to help show you how to turn your hacks into real businesses
Get Started Now
If you already have a Windows 8 app that you are working on, bring it to the hackathon. If you haven’t started yet, there are lots of resources and tools at dev.windows.com. You can also find more resources available to students at blogs.msdn.com/b/cdnstudents.
Experts on Site
Regardless of the stage your app is in, members from Three Red Cubes will be on hand. They will also provide a general overview of app development on Friday, Feb 8 before the hackathon begins.
StartMeUp business consultants will also be present to guide you with your commercialization effort.
Awesome Prizes
Two Xboxes are up for grabs for the best apps to come out of the project, and if this wasn’t enough, Microsoft is also sponsoring a $500 draw for apps that are published within a month of the event! (Quick note from Susan…and don’t forget anyone publishing an app could get rewards through the Developer movement)
