"Pretentious" vs. "Snobbish"

down the results of a rather long conversation about the differences between snobbish
and pretentious that occurred on a walk back from the PDC with Prashant and myself. 
It even continued on into conversation at the Engine Company -- I think we were being
snobbish that night.

    It was pretentious to talk about the distinction, and snobbish to feel that there needed to be one. :-) -- John
