This is a good thing, but I have a question.
Is the AJAX will be available in version 2.0 or 3.0 ?

ASO.NET 2.0 allows for asynch callback handlers anyhow. You probably mean the Atlas framework. That's someone else that is built upon this (and in turn other things will be built upon the Atlas framework). Atlas is a work in progress and is highly undocumented at this point. You can find more information at atlas.asp.net

.NET 2.0 requires Windows Installer 3.0 which in turns requires WGA validation. What a good idea...

Can one just install this over the top of beta 2, or do we need to uninstall beta 2. Sorry.. couldn't find that answer anywhere.
    Thankyou.

you must uninstall everything releated to Beta2 -- definitely follow the instructions on MSDN.
