TFS Product Team Coming to Chicago/Milwaukee in April to talk TEE

So maybe you’re interested in Team Foundation Server for source control and build but you’re a Java person thinking “what could a Microsoft tool offer ME?”. Or you work on a Mac, or a Linux or Unix box and assume “I can’t possibly get use out of this thing if I’m not running a Windows PC”. I’m making my incredulous face now.  Or maybe you’re an OSS developer and just haven’t taken the time to see what we have to offer.  It’s OK, we’ve all been there.  I’ve used many source control and build solutions over the years and sure, no one is perfect but I truly believe we have a pretty awesome toolset if you give us a chance.  And now you have no excuses, it WILL support your development even if you’re running Eclipse on a MacBook.  Yeah, I said it. ECLIPSE on a MACBOOK.

And maybe you DID look at it before and had some questions, concerns, or downright complaints.  Well, bring ‘em to this meeting, we’re all friends.  Now’s your chance to find out everything you can, from the dude who WROTE the tools.  How often do you get to pick THAT guy’s brain? Smile  During his talk, he’ll examine how the non-windows platform support provided through Visual Studio Team Explorer Everywhere 2010 enables development teams to easily collaborate across platforms. ACROSS PLATFORMS!!!11!!! It provides the tools and plug-ins you need to access Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 from within Eclipse-based environments, so everyone can work together to achieve business goals.

Key Discussion Points:

· The current state of Team Foundation Server tools for non-windows development

· Feature parity of Eclipse and Team Foundation Server

· Discussions on the direction of Team Explorer Everywhere

· Eclipse and tools for TFS for non .net developers
