IVMVirtualMachine::Notes property

[Windows Virtual PC is no longer available for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use the Hyper-V WMI provider (V2).]

Retrieves and sets the notes for the virtual machine.

This property is read/write.

Syntax

HRESULT put_Notes(
  [in]          BSTR virtualMachineNotes
);

HRESULT get_Notes(
  [out, retval] BSTR *virtualMachineNotes
);

Specifies the notes for the virtual machine. The maximum length of the string is 65,536 characters.

To remove any notes, pass an empty string.

Name/value	Meaning
S_OK 0	The operation was successful.
E_POINTER 0x80004003	The parameter is NULL.
E_INVALIDARG 0x80000003	The parameter is not valid or contains more than 65,536 characters.
VM_E_VM_UNKNOWN 0xA0040207	The configuration is unknown.
DISP_E_EXCEPTION 0x80020009	An unexpected error has occurred.
