Installing Visual Studio Remote Debugger for Managed Applications
Debugging managed applications requires the .NET remote debugging service to be installed to the device.
To install Visual Studio Remote Debugger for managed applications
To remotely debug managed applications, you must install the Visual Studio Remote Debugger on the device.
- Log in to the device with the user account that you created in Target Designer.
- Insert Visual Studio .NET 2003 disc 1 or request it over the network if it is located on a network share.
- Locate and open remotecomponents.hta at the root of disc 1 and find the Full Remote Debugging instructions.
- Click Install Full to install the components that are required for managed remote debugging.
- Reboot the device.
