/i Command

Use /i to display identity information of a specified group on Team Foundation Server.

Required Permission

To use the /i command, you must be a member of the Team Foundation Administrators security group. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

Note

Even if you are logged on with administrative credentials, you must open an elevated Command Prompt to perform this function on a server that is running Windows Server 2008. To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, right-click Command Prompt, and click Run as Administrator. For more information, see the Microsoft Web site.

TFSSecurity /i identity /server:servername

Parameters

Argument

Description

identity

Specifies the identity of the user or the application group. For more information on the identity specifiers, see TFSSecurity Identity and Output Specifiers.

/server:servername

Required. Specifies the name of the application tier server.

Remarks

Run this command on the local application tier computer.

The /i command of the TFSSecurity command-line utility displays information about each group within the application tier of the Team Foundation Server. It does not display any membership information.

Examples

The following example displays identity information for the "Team Foundation Administrators" group.

>tfssecurity /i "Team Foundation Administrators" /server:MyATServer
