Adding and Modifying Work Items
You can add new work items, edit existing work items, and add links and attachments to work items as your project progresses. The state of a work item indicates the progress your team is making towards that work item. The state for a work item can vary depending on the use of the work item. For example, a bug work item could start as Active, become Resolved, and then become Closed. The process for moving work items through the different states may vary, depending on your team's chosen process.
Changing the state of a work item as your work moves forward lets your team to track progress against your project goals. Make sure that the state of a work item accurately reflects its status.
