HxMerge Error Messages

When using the HxMerge index merging utility, several error messages can be returned. The following table shows all the possible error messages that HxMerge.exe can return.

IDS_MERGE_FATAL_SWITCHREQ	Fatal Error: Switch '<switch>' required.

IDS_MERGE_UNABLE_TO_INIT	Unable to initialize full-text indexer (make sure ITCC53.DLL is installed and registered).
IDS_MERGE_SPECIFY1OUTPUT	You must specify at least one .HxS file in the include file.
IDS_MERGE_INPUTNOTEXIST	The input file <file> does not exist.
IDS_MERGE_FILECORRUPT	Unable to read header information from file <file>. The file may be corrupted.
IDS_MERGE_LANGIDWRONG	The title '<title>' does not match the language of the combined index. The title has a language of <language>, whereas the combined index language is <language>.
IDS_MERGE_UNABLE_TO_INIT2	Unable to initialize file system (make sure MSITSS.DLL is installed and registered).
IDS_MERGE_UNABLE_TO_CREATE	Unable to create output file <file>. Please verify the file is not open by another application.
IDS_MERGE_UNABLE_TO_CTEMPS	Unable to create temporary project files.
IDS_MERGE_INVALID_FTI	The title '<title>' contains an invalid full-text index. Please rebuild this title.
IDS_MERGE_ERROR_PROCESSING	There was an error processing the combined index data file.
IDS_MERGE_NO_OUTPUT_FILES	No output file(s) specified in the project file.
IDS_MERGE_INTERNAL_ERROR	Error writing to combined index file.
IDS_MERGE_COMPRESSING_ERROR	Error compressing the combined index file.
