AlertType Enumeration
The AlertType enumeration contains values that are used to specify the type of event or performance condition that causes alerts to be raised.

Member name | Description |
---|---|
NonSqlServerEvent | Specifies a system event. |
SqlServerEvent | Specifies an event such as an error or a message that is generated by the instance of SQL Server. |
SqlServerPerformanceCondition | Specifies a condition applied to a specified SQL Server performance counter. For example, the number of connections is greater than 10. |
WmiEvent | Specifies an event that is raised by the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider interface. This option is available in SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008. |
