ConfigurationBase.Alter Method (Boolean)

Updates the Configuration object property changes on the instance of SQL Server.

Parameters

  • overrideValueChecking
    A Boolean value that specifies whether to override validation of the Configuration object property values.

Remarks

The Alter method updates any changes that have been made to the Configuration object properties since the Column object since the last Alter statement. The modifications are combined and sent to the instance of SQL Server in a single network trip to the instance of SQL Server.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
