BackupRestoreBase.SetPassword Method (SecureString)

Sets the password for a backup set.

Parameters

  • value
    A SecureString value that specifies the password for the backup set.

Remarks

Use passwords to protect the backup sets if the backup medium is used to back up several databases with different owners.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
