NotificationClassProtocol.MulticastRecipientLimit Property
Gets or sets the maximum number of recipients for each multicast notification message.
Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Nmo
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo (in microsoft.sqlserver.smo.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Property MulticastRecipientLimit As Integer
public int MulticastRecipientLimit { get; set; }
public:
property int MulticastRecipientLimit {
int get ();
void set (int value);
}
/** @property */
public int get_MulticastRecipientLimit ()
/** @property */
public void set_MulticastRecipientLimit (int value)
public function get MulticastRecipientLimit () : int
public function set MulticastRecipientLimit (value : int)
Property Value
An Int32 value that specifies the maximum number of recipients for a multicast message.
Remarks
This property is optional, and has a default value of 100.
Notification Services generates multiple messages if necessary so that all recipients receive a notification. For example, if 45 people should receive the notification, and the MulticastRecipientLimit value is 10, Notification Services generates five messages, with each being sent to a subset of the recipient list.
Example
The following examples show how to define execution settings for a delivery protocol:
smtpProtocol.FailuresBeforeEventLog = 2;
smtpProtocol.FailureEventLogInterval = new TimeSpan(0, 10, 0);
smtpProtocol.FailuresBeforeAbort = 10;
smtpProtocol.MulticastRecipientLimit = 50;
smtpProtocol.WorkItemTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 20, 0);
smtpProtocol.FailuresBeforeEventLog = 2
smtpProtocol.FailureEventLogInterval = New TimeSpan(0, 10, 0)
smtpProtocol.FailuresBeforeAbort = 10
smtpProtocol.MulticastRecipientLimit = 50
smtpProtocol.WorkItemTimeout = New TimeSpan(0, 20, 0)
