TransPublication.BrowseSnapshotFolder Method

Returns the complete path of the location where snapshot files were generated for a specific subscription.

Parameters

  • subscriber
    A String value that represents the Subscriber name.
  • subscriptionDB
    A String value that represents the subscription database name.

Return Value

A String value that represents a file path.

Remarks

If the parameters are not specified, the most recent directory where snapshot files were generated for the publication is returned. If no snapshot files have been generated for this publication, an empty string is returned.

The BrowseSnapshotFolder method can only be called by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher or by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Calling BrowseSnapshotFolder is equivalent to executing sp_browsesnapshotfolder.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
