NotificationServicesInstance Element (ICF)

Is the root element of the instance configuration file (ICF). Contains all elements that describe an instance of Notification Services.

Syntax

  xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" 
  xmlns="https://www.microsoft.com/MicrosoftNotificationServices/ConfigurationFileSchema">

Element Attributes

Attribute	Description
xmlns:xsd	Required. Identifies the XML Schema namespace. Required value: http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema
xmlns:xsi	Required. Identifies the XML Schema Instance namespace. Attributes from this namespace are used to reference the schema used to validate the ADF. Required value: http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance
xmlns	Required. Identifies the ICF namespace. If you edit the ICF using the XML editor in SQL Server Management Studio, this value is used by F1 Help and Dynamic Help to locate possible reference topics in SQL Server Books Online. Required value: https://www.microsoft.com/MicrosoftNotificationServices/ConfigurationFileSchema

Element Characteristics

Characteristic	Description
Data type	None.
Default value	None.
Occurrence	Required once per ICF.
Updates	Cannot be added or deleted when updating the instance.
