Site protection and recovery refers to using tools to back up, version, and recover a site from accidental deletion or data corruption. Directly recovering a deleted site is not a feature that is available in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. However, you can protect and recover sites by using the Stsadm export and import operations or tools such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007.
