<Site Resource> Properties, Connection String Tab

Use the <Site Resource> Properties dialog box, Connection String tab, to change the connection string for the global or site resource to access a database. A connection string is a string version of the initialization properties needed to connect to a data store and enables you to easily store connection information within your application or to pass it between applications.

Modify |
Click to modify the value of the selected connection string or to test the connection to the database. This opens the Data Link Properties dialog box. Click Help in this dialog box to access information about how to configure the connection string. After you change a property in Commerce Server Manager, you must restart all services that use those properties. For instructions about how to restart the services, see How to Restart IIS and How to Restart Commerce Server Services. |
