How to: Edit Navigation Properties

Navigation properties are shortcut properties that are used to locate the entities at the ends of an association in the Entity Data Model (EDM). Navigation properties are created and deleted when you create or delete an association.

This topic shows how to edit the name of a navigation property.

To edit a navigation property using the Properties window

1. Select a navigation property.

   Information about the navigation property is displayed in the Properties window.

2. Change the property settings in the Properties window.

To edit the navigation property name using the design surface

1. Click the name of the navigation property.

   The name becomes editable.

2. Edit the name of the navigation property.
