Windows 8 How To: 19. Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives

By default hidden files and folders are not visible and this is a preferred way for most users. But you can easily show hidden files and folders.

Follow the steps outlined in my previous post to show the Control Panel if needed. From the Control Panel, type “folder” in the search box and select Folder Options.

Now I can see the Appdata folder under my user profile.
