Imagine Cup US Finals - People’s Choice (that means YOU!)

Next week some of the brightest – and youngest – minds in America will compete in the US Finals of the Imagine Cup, Microsoft’s worldwide student technology competition. Fifteen student teams were chosen out of thousands to showcase the technology applications they designed to help “solve the world’s toughest problems” of eradicating hunger and poverty, halting the spread of HIV/AIDs, and improving education and environmental sustainability.

For the first time in US Imagine Cup software design category, there is a “People’s Choice” voting competition where anyone (that means YOU!) can view the finalists’ project videos, and vote for their favorite team/project at www.icuspeopleschoice.com.

Currently, Team MangoBunnies, the first all-female team to make it to the US finals in seven years, is leading the People’s Choice. Their mobile medical innovation, called Computer-Assisted Medication Regimen Adherence (CAMRA), discreetly and conveniently supports HIV and AIDS patients by providing a medication regimen directly to their personal mobile device.

Take a look at the other inspiring technology innovations from the other student teams – ranging from mobile healthcare applications to devices that measure urban air pollution – and cast your vote for your favorite innovation! Voting is open until April 30th!
