Adventures in Social Networking

I keep hearing that all the cool kids are on social networks like Bebo and MySpace.

So I signed up for Bebo and I signed up for MySpace. Now what happens?

I also signed up for Twitter, but I just don't get it.  Why would anyone want to know what I'm up to at every moment of the day?  And I like you guys, a lot, but that doesn't mean I need to know what you're up to at every moment of the day either :)

I was disappointed that I couldn't include my Flickr photos and my MSDN blog feed on Bebo.  That's no problem for a Windows Live space.  I will try to do the same integration on MySpace and see what it lets me get up to.

You're on the wrong network. Facebook is the thing! I think there are close to 10 000 members in the "NTNU" network (University in Trondheim) out of 20 000 students! So it's a great place to keep track of your old friends... So I'm currently using Facebook for personal/fun stuff, and LinkedIn for work related stuff (well, I'm not actually using LinkedIn, but I'm listed and accepting requests). Facebook has blog import, but no Flickr! support.

Jonas - I'm actually already on Facebook... for some reason I had the impression it was sweeping Canada but nobody over here was using it.  So... updating this entry... and I'll hunt for you on Facebook!

Oh dear..  Bebo are well-known sleazeball spammers.  Google 'bebo spam' and read the first page or so of hits.
