Should Acceleration users use this SDK update or is this just for normal FSX users?

Orion: Acceleration users that want to target both Acceleration and SP2 should use this SDK. Acceleration users that only want to target Acceleration should use the Acceleration SDK.

i did get the sdk to work properly after toying with it for awhile...i was wondering since alot of people like the carrier stuff is there a way to make a moving or static carrier in multiplayer with that catapults, meatball, arrestor cables, and nightime lighting working?

Phil: I tried installing the SP2 SDK with Acceleration (I already installed the Acceleration SDK) and the SP2 SDK said I need to have the SP1a SDK installed first.  Can you help or explain this? SimGameIt.com: I am making a scenery for Acceleration users that includes the working Acceleration carrier, but I'm afraid it won't show in multiplayer becasue the carriers are classified as AI, and AI doesn't show in multiplayer.  I expect my add on to be released sometime in January of 2008 (maybe sooner). -Orion

Orion please drop me an email at simgameit@yahoo.com when that is finished..... we have the acceleration carrier as a drivable ship in multiplayer but the cat or meatball doesnt work...neither does the night time lighting effects...the way i see it is a program....anything can be done...but i know sp2 enables us to do alot more with multiplayer so im thinkin it may let ai be a part of a multiplayer mission....theres got to be a way....heck flight deck 5 ships dont even show up in multiplayer....missions are ok but doing a mission in multiplayer is where its at :-)    Mike aka Bill of SimGameIt

Phil, I am getting some mixed signals here.. You said ======================================= Orion: Acceleration users that want to target both Acceleration and SP2 should use this SDK. Acceleration users that only want to target Acceleration should use the Acceleration SDK. ===================================== The FSinsider Website says: IMPORTANT: If you have already installed Flight Simulator X: Acceleration expansion pack, do not install the SDK Update for Service Pack 2. OK, so which is it? Is it indeed OK to uninstall the Acceleration SDK and install SP2 SDK in its place or no? NickN

I was very disappointed to see that no variable has been added to SimConnect for the gamespy id.  Although you have previously stated in a post that developers should only use the SDK, we can not do this if basic information is inaccessable. Evan Smith

Nick: the FSInsider advice is generic and not meant to address the special case of authoring for both SP2 and Acceleration.
