The Wizard was interrupted before ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 could be completely installed

Here are some updated and more precise instructions for fixing these errors.

When attempting to install ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3, you may receive the following errors:

"InstallShield Wizard Completed.  The Wizard was interrupted before ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Click Finish to exit the wizard."

Please see the article, https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2003976, for more information.

Symptoms

The installation of ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 fails with the following error:

"The wizard was interrupted before ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 could be completely installed"

or:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime error! - Program: c:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe R6034 an application has made at attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Cause

The Microsoft Visual C++ 8.0 runtime DLLs are present in the %windir% directory causing the Windows Installer (msiexec.exe) to fail

Resolution

Temporarily remove or rename the files, install ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3, then restore the files to their original name and location:

32bit: '%winddir%\msvcm80.dll' and '%winddir%\msvcp80.dll'

64bit: '%winddir%\msvcm80.dll' and '%winddir%\syswow64\msvcp80.dll'

Thanks to Sean Flanagan for the information.

Hello, Thank you for your comment.  For troubleshooting questions such as this, the ProClarity forum on TechNet is a better option than the blog.  You may find the forum at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/proclarity/threads/. Thanks again!

I have done this procedure and the installation issue was resolved, but now I have another problem: when I go browse a cube (SSAS 2008) it gives a message that tells "Query Failed!", this sounds like SP2 thing, but I have already applied and also download 2218 hotfix but still doesnt work. I have Windows 2008 and SQL 2008.

I found a solution to this. The problem was being caused by the installer itself. I assume because the installer is very old. To fix this issue, I navigated to C:Program Files(x86)Common Files and renamed the 'Install Shield' folder to 'Install Shield Old'. This caused the installer to recreate the install shield folder with the files it needed, and the install completed successfully.

Thanks to Joey B. Pruett! Here I got the updates. I had some problem to installshield. I think Installshield is better then installAware!
