Brendon Lynch, Microsoft Chief Privacy Officer on RSA Panel: Privacy and Security: It's Good Business

The annual RSA Conference in San Francisco is the security industry’s biggest event of the year. This year’s RSA features more privacy-related sessions than ever, including sessions titled “Privacy in the Cloud: What is it? Do We Have the Technology to Deliver it?,” “War Stories From the Frontlines of Internet Privacy,” and “Cloud Computing: A Brave New World for Security and Privacy.”

Microsoft’s Chief Privacy Officer, Brendon Lynch, will participate in a panel discussion on Thursday, February 17 at 1:00 PM PST on “Privacy and Security: It's Good Business.” The session description reads:

Expensive lawsuits, bad press, hauled to Washington for government investigations – none of this is conducive to business success. Get the inside track from VCs, privacy and security officers, and lawyers about baking good privacy and security into the development process and making early decisions that are good for customers and the bottom line.

Joining Brendon on the panel will be Harriet Pearson Vice President, Security Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, IBM Corporation; Raman Khanna, Partner, ONSET Ventures; and Francoise Gilbert, Partner,

IT Law Group. Nicole Ozer, Technology and Civil Liberties Policy Director, ACLU of Northern California will moderate the session.

In this role he has responsibilities for all aspects of Microsoft’s privacy approach, including privacy policy creation and implementation across the company, influencing the creation of privacy and data protection technologies for customers and overseeing communication and external engagement with all external audiences.
