SharePoint 2013 - Alert Me - Option

We usually have requirements. where users need to be notified when a Document or a List Item is updated by someone. In SharePoint 2010, there is an option called Alert Me which is used to set the alerts.  

The alerts can be set at Item level or the list level.

 

 

 

But, this will send the notification to only the user who is logged in.

 

But always there would be a requirement to send alerts multiple users. How to achieve them OOB?

In SharePoint 2013, this feature has been enhanced and alerts can be sent to multiple users.

    Thank you Prasanna for this blog. But this is one time setting. Whenever we added users in "Send alert to" tab and press OK, Alert email delivered to respected users. We need to add users everytime whenever we want to alert them. But what if we want to send the alert to multiple users (same users every time) automatically when any changes made in library.  Is there any way to save this setting. Please help me
