Bogdan's intro
Hello! My name is Bogdan Popp and I’m a software developer engineer/test lead on the Surface Team. I’ve been with this project since November ‘03 and after working on the Surface SDK for the first few years. Almost a year ago I moved into a lead position on the engineering services team, which basically is the main driver for performance, stress/reliability, security and infrastructure across the whole product unit. In addition to my daily work, I also like to develop interactive display system specific applications (e.g. photo geotagging on surface) which links some of my hobbies like photograpy and hiking to Surface. Other products I’ve worked on at Microsoft include MS Chat 2.5, MMIT 1.0, .NET Framework 1.1 and ASP.NET 2.0.
My posts here will be related to Surface covering topics like challenges & solutions in testing interactive display systems, conference reports, cool Surface apps and a lot of other interesting topics, some of them directed by the questions/replies I'll get to my posts. I hope you'll find my posts interesting and useful :-).

Hi Bogdan, Cool tagging tool you got there, for sure! I am awaiting a Surface table, so I was wondering if the Surface SDK includes a native Map Control for Virtual Earth or the other mapping platforms? If not, in what way do I have to implement it?Anonymous

Hi Friso! First of all, thanks for your kind words! One way to get a multi input map control is to take an existing control (e.g. Virtual Earth map control) and implement the logic of handling multi input in a wrapper. HTH, Bogdan
