Windows Azure Camps Coming in December 2011

It’s time for another round of Windows Azure events on the US east coast!  Last spring, Jim, Brian, and I brought the Windows Azure Tech Jam to 5 locations in Pennsylvania, Florida, and North Carolina.  Two weeks ago, the new Windows Azure DevCamp series launched with a two-day event in Silicon Valley.  Now we are bringing it to five cities on the east coast this December!

We’re changing the formula up a bit this time too.  In the past, we’ve done “9 to 5” events.  Most of these events will begin at 2 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. – with dinner (instead of lunch) in middle.  The first part will be a traditional presentation format and then we’re bringing back RockPaperAzure for some “hands-on” time during the second half of the event.  We’re hoping you can join us the whole time, but if classes or your work schedule get in the way, definitely stop by for the evening hackathon (or vice versa).

If you haven’t heard about RockPaperAzure yet, check out https://www.rockpaperazure.com to get an idea of what we will be working on.  It is a good old fashioned coding challenge that we will run live during the event.  May the best algorithm win!  (As per usual, there will be some cool swag headed to the authors of best algorithms!)

Below is the event schedule.  Be sure to register quickly as some venues are very constrained on space!  You’ll want to have your very own Windows Azure account to participate, so no time like the present to sign up for the Trial Offer, which will give you plenty of FREE usage of Windows Azure services for the event as well as beyond.
