At least you're consistent with your Akamai-based launches.   This one doesn't work either. (Trying to download the English online-installer, using either FF or IE - ADM stops with 'fatal error'. I don't understand why a company like MS would need to hang its reputation on this POS from Akamai, which we've all told you over and over again is a miserable disaster.   [Chris responds: Akamai is one of the largest bit distribution companies in the world.  When we have major launches, they help us get our bits out to a download server near where you are - no matter where you are.  There have been no major changes to the Akamai download client for some time and it does work for the vast majority of our customers.  However, there are always instances where things don't work as well as we would like.  Please feel free to contact me privately and we'll see what we can do to get you running properly.]

Hello! Is it possible to have an ISO with VS 2008+SP1 integrated? This would save us a lot of time installing! Thanks!

The link provided above does not show SP1 files at the moment. Plus, browsing from the subscriber download show a lot of files with common name (the only difference is the language indicator at the end). Very confusing! Hope MS can revamp the download section to provide a more meaningful presentation. Congrats for the RTM!

Will You helped us identify that the VS 2008 SP1 installer executables were corrupted files. The hashes checked, so we are going back to determine at what point the filed got corrupted. In any case, we will get replacement files posted as soon as we can. Sorry for the hassle.

Paul: As the slipstream versions of products such as VS 2008 (WITH SP1) are made available, they will be added to the site. We make the products available as quickly as possible after the bits are released. If you go to the downloads pages, you can click the "last updated" column to sort the dates in ascending or descending order, in order to see which files have been most recently added. You can also subscribe to the RSS feeds for newly added downloads. For MSDN, it is: http://www.microsoft.com/feeds/msdn/en-us/subscriptions/MSDNdata.xml

Subscriber: Windows 95 has not been available online for quite some time. I don't recall when it was removed, but it is no longer available.

Is there a document that describes what's changed by VS2K8 SP1? [Chris responds: A search will turn up many docs that describe what you are looking for.  Here is the first link when I did a quick search: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb386063.aspx#SP1]
