What might a privacy statement look like for a Windows 8 Touch Develop app?

Fourscore and sever years ago…  kidding…

1. Let’s say you have a weather application that allows the user to select an airport to get current weather conditions.  The privacy statement might look something like this.

“This app asked the user to select a regional airport and uses that information to retrieve observed weather conditions at that airport. This information is not stored or tracked in any way.”

2. Let’s say you have a weather application that provides weather alerts for weather conditions like thunderstorms, flooding, tornados, snow and such.  The privacy statement might look something like this.

“This application asks you to select a county to get the weather alerts information for. This application does not capture or store this information.”

3. Let’s say you have a weather application that provide a weather forecast based on the zip code user provides.  The privacy statement might look something like this.

“This app asks the user to enter a zip code and uses the entered zip code to retrieve weather forecast data. This application does not capture or store this information.”

4. Let’s say you wrote some type of unit converter app that converts from one unit to another.  The privacy statement might look something like this.

“This application asks the user to provide the units to be converted to another unit of measure. This application does not capture or store this information.”
