Call for Case Studies

On October 11, 2012 the New Office reached its RTM Milestone; and we are now focused on releasing the new Office to our business customers in the coming months. In Switzerland, we are planning to launch the new Office version with several marketing activities. You, as a valued partner, will play a central role in the Office launch.

Case studies have proven to be a valuable tool to communicate the value and benefits of the Office platform and to showcase your competencies to business decision makers.

Therefore, we are reaching out to you with this call for case studies. We are looking for interesting case studies that demonstrate the business value and innovation of the new Office platform that your customers have realized together with your support. The New Office Case Studies Collection

We are planning to create a Case Studies Collection that will have both physical and digital aspects. There will be 2 phases: 

  • In the first phase, we will focus on on-premise case studies for all Office Platform products (Office, Visio, SharePoint, Lync, Exchange, and Project).  
  • In phase two, coming at the beginning of 2013, we will focus on Cloud Services case studies (NOTE: if you have a Cloud Services Case study NOW that you'd like to showcase please let us know).  

For each phase, we are looking for 10-12 case studies.

Enterprise Partner Package Office Launch

Similar to launches of recent years, we will offer a partner package that will allow you to use Microsoft's marketing channels to demonstrate your competencies in the new Office platform. From the Office 2010 launch, the Solution Booklet is still being used as a sales tool, both digitally and physically, and has kept its value in the two and a half years since the launch of Office 2010. Those partners that have participated in the Office 2010 launch are still able to realize the value of their investment from nearly 3 years ago.

For this launch, we have an even more extensive partner package to offer you than before. For a cost of CHF 4000.-, you will receive the following:

  • Pinpoint integration
  • Facebook and Twitter announcement each time a new case study is added (for big brands)
  • Folio / 'Mappe' with postcard (case study summary) inside – Folio will describe value of Office Platform and the value of you as a Swiss Office Platform partner
  • Template for future case study production (of postcards)
  • Each card with a code linked to a video
  • PDF 2-pager
  • DE & FR (TBD)
  • Launch Event for you and your customer: Spring 2013

What we are looking for?

In order to produce a high-quality showcase for our IW Partners and the New Office Platform, we are looking for the following:

  • Swiss-based customers
  • Customer Contact at the Executive Management level
  • The project will be put into production and migrated to the RTM version
  • The case study benefits are measurable
  • The case study fulfills a business need
  • Must cover one or more of the Launch priority topics (i.e. Social, Work Anywhere, Cloud or Hybrid Environment)
  • Customer must be in agreement with case study publication and will sign an agreement – customer cannot be anonymous
 

How to Participate

To participate in the Case Studies Collection for the New Office, the process for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 will be the same.

  • Fill out the case study template in the attachment
  • E-Mail the completed case study template(s) to marcel.dorner@microsoft.com before or on November 23, 2012

The submitted templates will be reviewed by an internal Microsoft committee. If the case study is accepted you will be notified of the acceptance and you will receive the invoice for the partner package, and the timeline for the case study production. Details and exact timelines about the process can be found in the PDF document in the attachment. While you can already submit Office 365 case studies in the first phase, we will send an additional call for case studies for the second phase.
