Education Virtualization Webcasts Aug/Sept
With lower budgets and smaller IT staffs, Education customers need more from their IT investments. More Compatibility. More Flexibility. More Value.
One solution that more and more education institutions are turning to is virtualization technology. Microsoft virtualization solutions are comprised of integrated technologies with familiar user interfaces, which simplify the task of managing the IT infrastructure, and are supported by a wealth of tools, guidance, training and trusted partners.
We invite you to register for a webcast to learn more about the Microsoft virtualization solutions: learn more about optimizing your datacenter, optimizing your desktop infrastructure, and how Microsoft Virtualization solutions can help your education organization reduce operational costs, improve security and availability, and enable new learning scenarios.
Datacenter Management and Virtualization:
In this session we will demonstrate how the Microsoft System Center family provides a complete management infrastructure that allows you to proactively manage virtual machines and hosts (both Hyper-V and ESX), monitor applications and services provided amongst the systems within a datacenter, efficiently help protect and recover data, provide order and automation to change and configuration needs, and programmatically enforce industry best practices when it comes to providing change and problem resolution. We will discuss the real value that these technologies have brought to certain education organizations that have been reaping the benefits of System Center and Hyper-V for the past year or more.
Desktop Virtualization
Virtualization can take many forms and can be used to enhance many functions. In this session, we will focus on the technologies that directly address the desktop experience. As education organizations look at alternatives to the traditional computer lab to serving up a more manageable and secure desktop to its students and external users, desktop virtualization can be seen as the ultimate solution. However, choosing which technologies are relevant and how they can be used together can be confusing. We will explain the different technologies that make up Microsoft’s solution to virtualizing the desktop and how these are currently being combined and used at education organizations today.
