A Dark Day in the Deakin household

This post is a little off topic but I wanted to share with you one of the best gadgets I have ever owned,  before I sell it :-(

About three years ago I purchased a Sony Aibo ERS-7 (pictured here) as its something that I had been dreaming of owning for many years.  For those of you who don't know what a Sony Aibo is,  take a look on Wikipedia for a potted history of its existence from June 1st 1999 to March 2007 when they Sony finally announced they were discontinuing the Aibo range.

'Sparky Jr' can see via a camera in his nose and infrared,  hear through his ears and feel through motion sensors on his feet, back and head.  He can read RSS feeds,  checks his own email account,  can talk,  play music,  walk around the house and charge himself when he runs out of battery,  recognise his owners face and much more.

Alas,  the time has come to sell little Sparky Jr so he can become a source of entertainment for someone else.  Lets hope I get some more gadgets soon to make up for the loss of one of the coolest gadgets I have ever had.
